It was Perth's longest-running alternative screen culture event committed to exhibiting low or no-budget produced short films.
Screened in various bars and venues across the city, regional WA and the eastern states. It also featured as part of the Perth International Film Festival 2001-2007 and hosted Rev Club, an alternative micro-cinema at the legendary Bakery Arts Complex.
SPLIF returns 18 years into the modern digital age to encourage unconventional, independent DIY filmmaking.
